YouTube D Day – Demonetization Day How did you Fare

So yesterday was D day for all small YouTubers. The day that YouTube because of a few bad apples at the top decided to make the huge barriers to entry for the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). The new requirements which went into effect yesterday for existing partners where the potential to lose the status. This status is what allows among many things a channel to monetize and earn ad revenue on their YouTube content. The new requirements are 4,000 view hours which if you do the math is 4,000 x 60 minutes per hour = 240,000 minutes that need to be viewed. In addition to the 4,000 hours you have to have over 1,000 subscribers. Which I can tell you is a hard thing to get to. I know, I have been in your shoes. I barley made it, but woke up and found out that my channel is still for the moment part of the YouTube Partner Program.

Post to the comments and let me know how you fared with the YouTube Partner Program.
