In this life update vlog, I’m sharing the results of my cardiac MRI and an update on my pericarditis journey. The good news: my medication, Arcalyst, is doing its job suppressing inflammation around my heart. However, my cardiologist did identify what appears to be scar tissue on the heart muscle — a sign of slight myocarditis — though he’s not overly concerned at this stage.

My cardiologist has been in contact with a Mayo Clinic specialist who focuses on pericarditis, and together they’ve decided I’ll remain on my current medication regimen for at least six months without attempting to wean off. Because of high recurrence rates, Arcalyst will likely be a long-term — possibly lifelong — treatment for me.

I also talk about managing lower potassium levels and the occasional heart flutter, my morning routine with Belle, and married life updates. If you’re dealing with pericarditis or a similar chronic condition, I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Join us for a summer evening at Magic Kingdom, starting with dinner at The Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, USA. We grab a table for two and enjoy a classic Disney dining experience before exploring the park as temperatures finally start to cool down.

Before dinner, we hop on Pirates of the Caribbean — the posted wait said 10 minutes and the actual wait was 8 minutes 51 seconds, so not bad for a busy Magic Kingdom summer evening! We also ran a US Mobile speed test right on a crowded Main Street to show how well it holds up on Verizon’s network without the big carrier price tag.

To cap the night, we check out Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress — a must-see for any Disney fan, especially as updates are coming soon — before hopping on the People Mover through Tomorrowland and grabbing an Aurora cone at Storybook Treats. A perfect Magic Kingdom summer evening from start to finish.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is one of the most historic attractions at Magic Kingdom — and in this video, we take you through the full experience in 2026. Originally introduced at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, the show has had more performances than any other stage show in American theater history.

The Carousel of Progress 2026 attraction walks you through four scenes of American family life: the turn of the century, the roaring 1920s, the fabulous 1940s, and a near-future holiday scene complete with voice-activated appliances and a virtual reality game. Each scene is tied together by the beloved “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow” theme.

Worth noting: Disney has announced updates are coming to the Carousel of Progress, so this 2026 footage captures the attraction before those changes take effect. If you’re a Disney history fan or planning a visit to Magic Kingdom, this full ride-through is a must-watch.
